Transworld AL70 18-inch Aluminum Attache Briefcase for 17" Laptop
- Product Review (submitted on March 15, 2012):
- Seems to be pretty well made, but time will tell. It's the best aluminum attaché for the price I could find. The main piano hinge is all the way across the bottom, and the interior hinges/latches works well. The case closes well and is a nice fit around the case, with a slight tongue in groove design. It doesn't have a rubber grommet for a waterproof design, which you shouldn't really expect for this price. The interior is very nice and supportive, and seems installed properly. The two things that I could see immediately as perhaps a little inferior was the feet and the locks. The feet seem a cheap afterthought, and the locks are not precision at all. They work fine, but a quick screwdriver under the gap left by the closed hasp would be easily breached. The locks are obviously aftermarket, 'fit any briefcase' quality. But if you need a real bulletproof briefcase go with the $300 Halliburton Zero. This is just fine for me, and I will enjoy it. I have a 13" Macbook with room left for all my power attachments, kindle, etc. The product was shipped very well, with box-in-box, and bubble wrap on briefcase, and arrived in perfect shape. It also came with a decent shoulder strap. I recommend this product for the price.
